I tried this recipe recently and loved it. I did not have the vegetables that were included in the tuna cakes and hoped to try them again including them Here I am wanting to make them tonight (Lent Friday no meat! thought they would be perfect) and I already used up my red pepper. Do you have any suggestions of something else I can add to the tuna cakes? We also do not like olives in this household.

I like this recipe. The first time I made it, I skipped the avocado sauce. It was good. Tonight I made the sauce and it was even better. I served it with rice and beans. Very nice meal.

I set myself to a challenge of cooking 50 new things this year, and this was one of them. Thank you for sharing your recipe.

Candy: I think salmon would be wonderful with the sauce. The original recipe paired it with crab cakes -- I think it's pretty much an all-purpose seafood (and more) sauce!

Jann: Thank you!! :)

Oh yeah and you can also use lemon juice in the sauce -- I think I did that since I already needed to slice open a lemon for the tuna cakes!
