When we took down the fence around our garden, the dogs proceeded to go out and eat off the tops of all of the carrots and start digging them up and just chewing off the top of the carrot. This was funny and all, but since I could no longer find them to pull them up for the dogs, I then had to go out and dig up all the carrots. They were for the dogs anyway, but they were definitely picked before their time.
