Chiffon Pumpkin Pie kicks butt on all others

We’ve been making the original recipe of this pie for 10 years. We often have ‘dueling pumpkin pies’ for dessert at Thanksgiving and the base recipe of this pie is a winner. After a day of overeating, the lightness of this pie is just what the Doctor ordered for the last course.

Hmmm...slowly start introducing new items into the casserole, like, the first year, use a bechamel instead of the soup...so, in 4 years or so, you'll be completely rid of the French's fried onions! :)

Wow. That IS a massive post! I would totally try that new and improved grean bean casserole, but I think my ma-in-law would be offended if we didn't use her recipe, completed with French's Fried Onion Strips or whatever.

Ha! With that sleepy self portrait I might be the random dude saying hi at the Hawthorne Fred Meyers ;)

So 2 years ago, I had to make a last minute Pumpkin Pie for a demanding guest. Luckily I had all of the ingredients except for the evaporate milk. I did however had 1/2 and 1/2 and whipping cream. It was literally the best pumpkin pie I have ever had in my life. Hmmmm, just a thought in case you want to experiment.

And the first picture we get of you on this here blog is from 10-15 years ago? More please.
