Emily:

Mmmmm, the peanut sauce & noodles variation sounds really yummy!
And yeah, I never even tried seared ahi uuntil I was, like, 28. Your son has a great headstart!

I'm really glad you've enjoyed my blog.

Yours in cucumber slaw,

I made this (ahi) tonight, we all loved it, including my three-year old boy (jeez, *I* never got seared ahi at three!!). I didn't have the propper shrooms so I made buckwheat soba noodles with this sauce of these ingredients: (measures approx.)

1 1/2 tbsp. creamy penut butter
1 1/2 tbsp. red miso
1/3 cup mirin
3tbsp. rice vinegar
a good amount of grated ginger

Simply whisked together then tossed over approx 8 oz of the cooked buckwheat soba noodles. This was really quite good too, a bit of a mish-mash of a couple of recipes I've seen.
I love your site, my dear. The website I gave is really my husband's, but I left it nonetheless. He says he will place your blog as a link, so...
Thanks for the wonderful meal! (And good work toward achieving a pro-cucumber status.)

SOY SAUCE! GINGER!

Yes, this is a summertime favourite.. I never liked fish much, but I'm a big fan of the seared tuna. I also like a little wasabi mound on the side for dipping (tuna, fork, or fingers, whatever fits the mood.)
